1.     Sacred Scripture

1.1       Our standard is the Confraternity Version of the Bible, published by the C.C.D., Washington DC. USA. Sometimes, insofar as international copyright laws permit, and as permitted by the publishers, we also include short passages from the New American Bible.

1.2       Sometimes a short quotation may be presented from some other English translation approved for use by the Church insofar as limits imposed by international copyright laws permit.  These include:

Callan & McHugh (Psalms)
C C D Version
Confraternity of the Precious Blood (Psalms)
Kleist & Lily (NT)
St. Andrew's Daily Missal (Commentaries)
The Knox Version

2      Hymns

2.1       We have included a small sample of hymns which are translations from Latin into English prose.  These come from an old publication by Rev. J. Connelly (Newman Press).

2.2       We have done this to encourage readers to try and obtain a copy of the original book: Hymns of the Roman Liturgy.  It would make an excellent prayer book.

3.     Acknowledgement

3.1       Some of the above are now "in the public domain" but no longer in print.

3.2       We wish to acknowledge the valuable contribution these works have made towards helping Christians understand and use Sacred Scripture better. We are grateful to be able to incorporate parts of them in our presentation.
